Ernest-Antoine Seilliere

Ernest-Antoine SeilliereErnest-Antoine Seilliere is Chairman of Supervisory Board of Wendel Investments, the second biggest publicly listed private equity firm in Europe.

He joined the Wendel Group in 1976 where he took responsibility for managing the divestment of steel-producing activities, turning the group into a large investment company.

Seilliere is Chairman of the Oranje-Nassau Groep BV and member of the Supervisory Boards of Bureau Veritas, Editis Holding, Peugeot SA and Hermès International. Ernest-Antoine Seillière was President of MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France) from 1997 to 2005 and has been, since July 2005, President of the European business confederation, BUSINESSEUROPE (ex Unice).

He has been made Officer of the Legion of Honour and Commander of the Order of Orange-Nassau. He graduated from Ecole Nationale d’Administration and served as a French diplomat for 10 years. He lectured at Harvard University’s Center for International Affairs.
