Keynote by Anthony Lake

The Georgetown Global Forum on Competitiveness takes place tomorrow, March 7, in Madrid, on the eve of Spain’s general elections and with the U.S. presidential campaign in full swing.

The keynote will be delivered by Anthony Lake, National Security Advisor in the United States during the administration of President Clinton and Georgetown’s Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy.

Lake, given the experience he has accumulated during his eminent career, will assess how the world responds to global security risks.

Lake’s keynote comes at about the halfway point of the Forum, which will include five panels that bring together international opinion leaders: International Relations, Global Finance, International Law, Interreligious and Intercultural Understanding and Global Health.

Throughout the day experts in politics, economy and industry will assert their views on the competitive implications of evolving relationship between the United States and Europe as well as culture, economy and health issues facing the world today.
