International Law Panel: Globalization and the Legal Academy: Global Clients, Global Law Firms & Global Law Schools.

This panel of experts will discuss the impact of globalization on the legal profession, on the challenges to the relationships between global clients and law firms and the anticipated impacts on law schools preparing the next generation of international problem solvers.

The Center for the Study of the Legal Profession at Georgetown Law is already promoting students with a sophisticated understanding of the opportunities and challenges of a modern legal career, and furnishing members of the bar, particularly those in organizational decision-making positions, broad perspectives on trends and developments in practice.

This Law Center, located in the heart of Washington, DC, educates an exceptionally talented and diverse student body for legal practice and the pursuit of justice in our community, our country and the world.

This panel, which will take place in the Westin Palace at 3:15 pm, will be moderated by T. Alexander Aleinikoff, Executive Vice President for Law Center Affairs and Dean, Georgetown Law, and will include John Delaney, Chairman and CEO, CapitalSource; Robert Ruyak, Managing Partner and CEO, Howrey, Simon, Arnold & White; Bob Kimmitt, Deputy Secretary U.S. Treasury; Lee Miller, Partner, Joint CEO, Member Executive Committee and Global Board, DLA Piper; and Milton C. Regan, Co-Director of the Center for the Study of the Legal Profession.
