John K. Delaney

delaney.jpgJohn K. Delaney is the cofounder, chairman and chief executive officer of CapitalSource Inc. (NYSE: CSE), a leading commercial lending, investment and asset management business focused on the middle market.

Delaney has been the chief executive officer and chairman of the board of CapitalSource since the company’s inception in 2000. From 1993 until its sale to Heller Financial in 1999, he was founder, chairman and chief executive officer of HealthCare Financial Partners, Inc. (former NYSE: HCF), a provider of commercial financing to healthcare service companies.

He is the immediate past chairman of the board of trustees of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School, the largest independent elementary school in Washington, a member of the board of directors of Georgetown University, and a member of the board of directors of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.
